The non-profitable, philanthropic Missionary Movement "Jesus in Thy Neighbour" is an NGO VO/0140 that was founded in Gozo - Malta on the 3rd December 1987 by Msgr. George Grima. It was approved by the Bishop of Gozo, Mons. Nikol Cauchi, on  30th October 1992. Its aim was to give a better life to so many children living on the streets of Brazil . Today the Missionary Movement is run by Mons. George Grima with a particular council and the support of about 30,000 Maltese financial contributors, and good wishers from America , Italy and Gibraltar . All supported projects must have the local bishop's approval. 

The Missionary Movement cares for the lives of poor children by providing them:

      daily food;

      education on daily basis, 

      medicine where needed;

      caring for disabled children and spreading the belief that disability is not inability;

      homes for leper families;

      bore-holes and spring water development. 

All children supported by the Missionary Movement are under the age of 12. Currently, the Missionary Movement has:  33 homes in Brazil  133 homes in Ethiopia  34 homes in Kenya. We run homes for HIV-infected children, for deaf and dumb children, children with leprosy, as well as disabled children.  The biggest project currently being built is in Bondo - Kenya. A  three-in-one project to receive children suffering from AIDS, dumb and deaf, blind and albinos.
